You Got To Have Faith! (written December, 2003)

You know I always talk about commitment. Commitment is an essential ingredient you need for success. However commitment isn’t the only ingredient you need for success. I think it is appropriate that I advise you that the second ingredient you need for success is faith! Without faith in the program you are promoting and without faith in the people you are working with, you have no chance of success. You got to have faith!

The Webster’s unabridged dictionary defines faith as: #1) Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing; and #2) Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one’s supporters.

Let’s take the first definition – “Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.” How many of you actually believe the program you are involved with is of value? The program is being run by completely trustworthy people? You know what? I hear the term, “ripped-off,” way too often. Is it that you were ripped off or is it that maybe you joined into a program that you really didn’t believe in and didn’t make a commitment to in the first place? How could you succeed at something you don’t believe in? It’s impossible. Imagine trying to work out to get your body into shape, yet you didn’t really believe the exercise would help, so you go about it half-heartedly and don’t eat right. Would you be able to get into shape? Of course not! If you don’t believe 100% in the program you represent and are promoting, how do you expect anybody you are trying to sell to feel any different? How many of you promote 5 different programs at one time? Hoping one “clicks?”  Obviously you have no faith in any one program and probably you have no faith in this industry because all you are doing is “hoping” and “wishing”. It doesn’t work like that. Not if you want to be successful.

If you want to succeed, you have to have complete 100% faith in this industry – The Money Making Direct Mail Opportunity Industry. Do you believe that you can make a full time income in this industry? Do you really believe it? Or not? If you answer, “no”, then you will never succeed. After you are 100% completely faithful that this is the industry for you, then you need to pick a program to promote – a business you want to represent. When you do chose an opportunity, make sure you believe in the program. Make sure you really believe it has value. It is worthwhile to the public. The people running it are of the highest integrity. The people you joined with are completely 100% honest. When you pick a business to promote, you represent that business and that business also represents you. If you do not believe in what you are representing, how can you succeed? If you cannot honestly ask yourself, “Is this program the one I have complete 100% faith in that will lead me to financial security?” If you can’t honestly answer this question, then that program is not for you! Find one that is. You got to have faith!

The second part of this definition is “Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one’s supporters.” Loyalty is a very powerful word. It is a very powerful concept also. If you truly believe this industry is the place for you to achieve financial security and then if you truly believe in the business program you represent, then in order to achieve any kind of success, you need to be loyal to the business and to the people you are involved and working with. If you are jumping from program to program, where s your loyalty then and to whom? Why would people you are working with be loyal to you then? Success is built over time with a fierce loyalty to what business program you represent and to the people you are involved and working with. Period! If you show no loyalty to “whatever” and to “whomever,” then expect no loyalty in return and expect to be a failure. You cannot show any type of commitment to anything unless you have completely 100% faith in what you are doing. Do You? Are you loyal to the people you are working with and the program(s) you represent? Are You?

I can honestly say that by being totally committed to the businesses I represent; only working with people I believe to have the highest integrity, and having complete and total faith in what I was doing, has brought me to a new level of financial freedom. I can’t lie. Sure at times I had doubts. But by having faith – believing in this industry and the programs I was promoting – believing in the people I was working with – sure at times I scratched my head while people around me gave me no support – but deep down at the core of my heart, I believed – I really believed – and today, I have and am still succeeding in this great industry of ours. You can too. Now is the time that you need to reflect – reflect about what has succeeded for you in your life and what hasn’t. Commitment and having faith in what you were doing had a lot to do with it I bet. This great industry of ours is no different. It may be for you or it may not be for you. You decide. But I promise you this: If you really believe in whatever you are doing and you stay committed and loyal to it, you can do nothing but succeed! So tell me, Do You Have Faith my friends?
